alihaydarf
I just bought my corsair dominator memories and when i try to run them at 1066 mhz in auto bios settings the mobo sets the timings at 5-7-7-24-2T and the voltage at 1.8 volts.(i use everest ultimate to monitor voltages and timings) when i try to use 5-5-5-15-2T setting the system goes unstable. I activated the sli-ready memory profile in bios and both in expert and max cpu oc settings the system was also unstable. at max cpu oc settings the system did not even boot to windows and at expert settings memtest would past an error every second. my memory is corsair dominator CM2X1024-8500C5D XMS2-8500 1066 MHZ. 5-5-5-15 2.10V ver 2.2 07422978 (WRITTEN ON EACH OF THE MEM STICKS) AND ON THE PACKAGE IT SAYS TWIN2X2048-8500C5D G my mobo is asus striker extreme, cpu intel q6600 some help on how can i run my ram on these enhanced performance profile settings plz!!! Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted February 8, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted February 8, 2008 Please make sure that you have the latest BIOS for your motherboard and then load optimized defaults and set the Memory Voltage to 2.1 volts and then set the timings to 5-5-5-15 (CAS-tRCD-tRP-tRAS) and then test the modules one at a time with http://www.memtest.org! Please allow memtest to run 2-3 passes on each module. If you still get errors, we will be happy to replace them! However, if you get errors with both modules that would suggest some other problem and I would test them in another system or MB to be sure. alihaydarf
Thanks for the fast reply, i changed the slots of the memory modules and it seems to be working right now, i guess this is an issue with the motherboard. appreciate the support though, i will be posting if anything else comes out.
