Smitty27
Hi, I have the 4 GB set of CM2X2048-6400C5DHX and one of the modules of RAM is dead. At first I installed both modules of RAM, the system would not POST, so I tried each module one-at-a-time. Only 1 module will post. If I put only the bad module in the system doesn't POST either. The one good module passes Memtest86+ successfully. I've tested the pair in 3 systems: P5B Deluxe - fails P5K Deluxe - fails P5K Premium - fails Do I need to RMA the set? Or just the faulty module? Thanks for the help! Edit: The kit is the TWIN2X4096-6400C5DHX. Each stick is labeled CM2X2048-6400C5DHX.
Xtreeme
If one module is bad there is NO way they will work as a pair. If you bought them as a pair Im sure they will want you to send both in, since twin sets are Matched sticks there is no other way to do it. Smitty27
Yeah, the bad stick is DOA, doesn't work at all in any RAM slot.
