biotek
Hi. I could use some help configuring my BIOS. I have Corsair Dominator 1066MHz PC2-8500 C5 (Twin2X2048-8500C5D) 4-1GB chips (4GB Total). EVGA nForce 780i SLI 775 A1 Version (132-CK-NF78-A1 BIOS Version P03) motherboard with latest firmware. I looked on the message board at the model configuration but only some of it applied to my BIOS setting. I went ahead with a partial configuration based on what was listed but when I rebooted it didn’t get to the Windows log on. So I reloaded the defaults. According the document it was for an ASUS motherboard. Can someone provide me with details per my BIOS setting what the chips should be configured to by the manufacture? I do not want to overclock. The reason that I want to do a manual configuration with the Timing and voltage is because I don’t believe it is being reported correctly. The voltage shows 1.85V and the memory speed is showing 800MHz instead of 1066MHz. Thanks.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted February 8, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted February 8, 2008 With 4 modules DDR800 would be suggest as long as you have a 1066 FSB CPU or faster and the memory Voltage should be set to 2.1 Volts and set the NB/MCH/SPP Voltage to +.05 Volts and then test the system with http://www.memtest.org.
