RJLeong65
Hi Guys Wondering if someone could help me please. I ordered a set of CM2X2048-6400C4DHX memory modules but received CM2X1024-6400C4DHX. Is there any difference? Many thanks You've actually ordered the TWIN2X2048-6400C4DHX kit (the DHX series memory is available only as a dual-channel matched-pair memory kit or a kit of four matched modules). And in the TWIN2X2048 kit, you got two matched CM2X1024 modules. If you really wanted a CM2X2048-6400C4DHX module, you would have had to buy a TWIN2X4096-6400C4DHX kit. Snozza
Many thanks for the response. I didn't really explain my question particularly well. I actually ordered two packs of TWIN2X2048-6400C4DHX (4GB total). On one pack of the ram, the sticker on the ram modules shows CM2X1024-6400C4DHX. On the other pack it has a sticker on each model with CM2X2048-6400C4DHX. All the other information is the same on both apart from the manufacture date. What I'm trying to establish is whether these are the same RAM types or not. Kind regards Matt

Usually the stickers will show CM2X2048-6400C4DHX on the DRAM package and CM2X1024-6400C4DHX on each module. Possibly the package labels were inserted on one set of modules. You have a lifetime warranty from Corsair, you can insert these modules by each set singularly in your machine and check the SPD settings with CPU-z. You can download CPU-z from Here What are the SPD settings for each module?
Wired
Since Corsair does not build 2048 sticks of 6400C4DHX and only 1024 sticks of 6400C4DHXThey recently started this. TWIN2X4096-6400C4DHX
Xtreeme
Yep, used a set of those in a build last week. They do exist, and are a great deal.:):
DerekT
They recently started this. TWIN2X4096-6400C4DHX Thanks for the heads up. This follows the same marking convention? TWIN2X4096-6400C4DHX for the package and TWIN2X2048-6400C4DHX for the modules?
Wired
TWIN2X4096-6400C4DHX = 2 modules of CM2X2048-6400C4DHX TWIN2X2048-6400C4DHX = 2 modules of CM2X1024-6400C4DHX TWIN(*)X = 2 modules of the respective CM(*)X modules, with additional testing. What, exactly, is TWINX? * = The DDR type In otherwords: TWINX = DDR1 TWIN2X = DDR2 TWIN3X = DDR3 CMX = DDR1 CM2X = DDR2 CM3X = DDR3 I'd imagine CM(*)X stands for Corsair Modules (DDR type) XMS series The rest of the part # can be deciphered here: What does C2, LL, PT, R or RE stand for in the part#?
