phitr
Hi, I have a problem with my CMFUSB2.0-4GB (not GT). I use it without problems on WIN XP SP2, but when I want to use this flashdisk on my laptop (WIN VISTA HOME PREM) there is a problem. I plugged it in, PC played sound (USB is plugged) but then there is a message: "There wasn't found ID of hardware" or something like this. I'm sorry, I'm from Czech republic and I use czech-lang Windows and sorry for my English and mistakes. I have also tried to restart my laptop with plugged Flashdisk in, but no changes. :( Can you help me? Thanks Peter
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted February 6, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted February 6, 2008 I would check this link as it seems to be a common issue with Vista http://teknobabble.wordpress.com/2007/08/18/vista-driver-problems-installing-a-usb-media-reader-a-solution/ This seems to work as well. Go to Local Disk ©, got to Windows, got to System32, go to Driverstore, go to Filerepository, go to usbstor.inf ( click the on that is newest), cop ythe usbstor.inf and usbstor.PNF files. After you have copied the two files got to Windows, inf folder and paste the files in that folder. Now your usb devices (flash drives, hard drives, ipods, etc.) should work.
