Voltage

Hi Forum

I would really like to know how to set the exact voltage for my 2 identical Corsair Value Select 2GB DDR 677 mhz (= 4 gb) (VS2GB667D2 G).

As you will see in my specs I have a Asus P5N-E SLI motherboard.

I have read some place that the timings should be 5-5-5-15-2t.

The 2t thing doesn't seem to be an option in my bios.

What about the voltage - what should it be set at? And what would happen if I raise the voltage above the recommended?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks, DerekT, for the warning about overvolting. Thats not the plan really.

I was more wanting to get the exact voltage setting for my memory modules.

I think I read in the Corsair web-based troubleshoot, that the voltage for this kind of memory should be 1,8.

For some reason my bios can't do that (i think the lowest was 1,93 or something like that).

Any suggestions?

Leave it. Biostar mobos wont go lower then 1.95v either. I have TWO diff new biostar boards, Both diff chipsets, both set to 1.95 and no lower. Check the test sheets on the ram, the stuff I have is tested to 2.1 volts but runs at 1.8v so the 1.95 is fine. Just dont up it any.

Command Rate is often called CR in the bios. Check your manual.

Corsair warrants all their DDR2 modules to 2.1v unless otherwise stated.
