gamerzzz
I already tried that and didn't see my motherboard listed is it that hard to tell me if it will work or not? I am getting a very good deal on this ram but he will only hold it for a few days so could someone please help me out? I don't get why someone can't just say yes or no they have to link me to something that doesn't help me in any way
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted February 4, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted February 4, 2008 The Striker II is the same and the Striker for memory support so DDR800 would be suggested and if you want to over clock then 8888C4D would be a good choice or or XM2S10000D would be the highest spec
gamerzzz
Will the striker II support it or not is what i need to know.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted February 5, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted February 5, 2008 AS I Stated yes if your MB and CPU will over clock and again let me reiterate what I posted. This MB is to new and we do not have any performance data to know how well it will over clock. And the MB and CPU would need to be over clocked to run the Twin2x2048-10000C5DF Modules at the rated speed. Yes they are compatible, but its not known if the hardware you will get will over clock to the tested settings of these modules.
gamerzzz
I already called asus tech support and i got a simple yes it will work than an explanation of what to do. I was just a little upset because you couldn't give me a simple yes or no answer. I was never told by you in any post above that this motherboard was to new and hasn't been tested. I wasn't trying to be a jerk i just needed to know this answer really fast due to the guy holding the ram for me at a very good price. I was then told by the asus tech that you probably didn't want to say yes or no cause you didn't want to be at fault if it didn't work not saying i'm believing him though. Xtreeme
The Striker II is the same and the Striker for memory support so DDR800 would be suggested and if you want to over clock then 8888C4D would be a good choice or or XM2S10000D would be the highest spec So....all you had to was lookup the striker. He told you that and then offered even more advice on what to use IF you overclock. Not only did he answer you, he went beyond that to make sure you got what you needed. Im confused on how you got confused???????? hehe.:): BTW, pcs are NEVER as simple as yes or no. There is always a reason or something to consider. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted February 6, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted February 6, 2008 Me too but I am sorry that answer confused you. However it is not a yes or no question! For Obvious reasons, which I think you will see when you build the system. Bet best of luck to you any way.:roll::eek:;):
gamerzzz
Well xtreeme i'm so happy that you think that helped me seeing as how it didn't. I was wanting to know if it infact would work and i was told to look up my motherboard but it wasn't listed ok. I was then told that it was the same as the extreme ok i get that then i said ok then if it's the same then it should work right. I was just looking for a yes or no but i got the reply of this below which to me still didn't really answer it with a yes or no. I don't want a maybe is all since this is very expensive ram and asus understood that right away. There is no need for you to chime in and say you understood the guy cause i could care less if you did or didn't. I wanted a simple yes or no answer not it should work but i really don't know if it will. If you don't dont understand that then i don't know what to tell you but quit trolling and trying to tell people what they should and shouldn't understand cause thats not up tp you. I understand that the item was to new and you haven't tested it yet but i still wanted to make sure it would work before i drop over $400 on this ram is all and im sure you understand that. I called asus gave them my system specs and got the answer i was looking for which was a yes not a maybe or i'm not 100% sure and that's all i wanted not bashing you in any way but before i spend this amount of money i was reassurance is all. I thank you ramguy for helping me as much as you could and i look forward to getting my ram thanks. AS I Stated yes if your MB and CPU will over clock and again let me reiterate what I posted.
