Frank-O
As the title suggests, I have an Asus M2N-e SLI mobo. My 2 corsair xms2 DHX 6400 (2,1gig sticks) Do not work. System does'nt post, only beep codes. I have another stick of RAM that does work however (ruling out mobo memory controller as possible problem). I have updated to the most recent BIOS. I manually changed the timing to 5-5-5-18 and voltage to 1.9v. Still no post. I have a hard time believing that both sticks are no good. Anyone else have problems with this mobo/ram combo? Thank you =)
jcrsairusr88
I don't have experience with that motherboard, but you could try manually setting a lower DDR2 frequency (667 instead of 800) and see if that will let you post. Check your m/b manual as well for the BIOS code meaning too (it is probably a "no system RAM" warning, but maybe something else).

If the Twin2X2048-6400C4 work, then the Twin2X2048-6400C5DHX should work as well. Frank, try 2.0 volts, and try ONE stick at a time in the same slot. What happens? Frank-O
Can you post the exact model and version of your DRAM. Twin2X2048-6400C5DHX. I think I'm going to try and get Twin2X2048-6400C4DHX. I did'nt try it at 2.0v. I did however try it at 1.8 and 1.9v.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted February 4, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted February 4, 2008 Please make sure that you have the latest Bios version and then load setup/optimized defaults and set the Dim Voltage to 2.0 volts (+.2 Volts W/Giga-Byte) and then set the timings manually to the tested settings for the specific module you have, or if you have Value Select "BY SPD" and then test the module/'s one at a time with http://www.memtest.org! If you still get errors, please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it! However, if you get errors with both modules that would suggest some other problem and I would test them in another system or MB to be sure. In addition, with some MB's (Mostly ASUS) you have to disable legacy USB in the bios when running any memory test.
