valdersin
I'm about to set my system back up soon but I wanna get an idea on what timing and voltage I should try. I've looking over topics to get an idea of timing and voltage. But I wanna see if there are anymore settings I can try during my setup. I plan to set the timing and run memtest86 for a bit to make sure it does not fail. I would like to find a stable setting for my memory. I'm going to be running two of the kits making that a total of 4GB of memory. I've found the following settings I just would like to collect more before I get started. 4-4-4-12 2.3v 5-5-5-15 2.15v 1066Mhz FSB Thanks and Regards -Danny
Yellowbeard
You should be able to run 3,4,3,9 timings at 2T, and 2.4v. However, you may have to tweak the memory controller voltages (aka SPP voltages on Nvidia chipsets) to work with 4 modules. valdersin
Tweak it to what? Or is this something I'm going to have to play around with?
Yellowbeard
Tweak it to what? Or is this something I'm going to have to play around with? You'll probably need to play with it as the chipset is so new. I don't have a 780i MOBO yet but, 1.4v was enough on 680i so I would expect it to be similar as there are no huge changes regarding the SPP. bigbuck08
I wouldnt run them at those timings with that voltage. I had the same RAM and burnt it up doing that. I would set the voltage to 2.3v and the 4-4-4-12. Most likely you wont notice a difference in performance except in benchmarks. Trust me, its not worth burning up your RAM. Corsair no longer manufactures this .
