manmarston
I just upgraded from 1gb to 4gb. Problem is my system is only picking up 3 gb instead of 4gb. I've tried to change latency to 2,3,3,6 and voltage to +.2 but its still only reading 3gb. There are other voltage listings on bios but I have no idea if I should switch them or what to switch them to. Any help is greatly appreciated. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted February 1, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted February 1, 2008 If you are using a 32 Bit O.S, then that will be all that is shown available in Windows. What does it show when you run http://www.memtest.org? And I would set the memory Voltage to +.2 Volts.
manmarston
I kinda feel like a dummy now. I did not know that to get 4gb you had to have a 64 bit os. Looks like I'm going to have to spend another $140 to get winXP pro x64. Thanks for your help and quick response.

You may need to go with Vista 64 instead.
