Anyone doing this (already searched forum against VMware postings) =>

Vista 32 bit with VMware workstation on main hard drive, with VMware virtual machines running on 32GB USB flash drive?

Any problems?

Likely to have XP and Vista virtual machines on the flash drive, so lots of writes to the virtual machine's "temp" drive. Expecting/hoping that wear leveling will help to alleviate that problem.

Concerned that the regular Voyager might burn out from excessive writes, is there a 32GB GT flash drive product? Is this a valid concern? Will my warranty cover write burn out?

thx.

You want VMware's "PocketAce." It lets you encapsulate a VM onto a USB drive, provides the encryption, wear leveling, etc. (The US Department of Defense uses it.)

Check out the technote here: http://www.vmware.com/pdf/pocket_ace_technote.pdf
