TheHelmet
Hi, Our company has used the Voyager GT 4Gb drive for the past 12 months or so and are very happy with the product. Our IT supplier tells us these are no longer available, but it seems as though the new range has yet to start shipping. Please could you provide definate dates as to when the new range will be available in the UK with perhaps a link to range/specs/rrp? If I cannot get hold of this info quickly we will be forced to go elsewhere as I have a backlog of users requiring memory sticks. Many thanks. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 30, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 30, 2008 I am sorry as I do not have an answer for you right now, but I have asked the product manager to help us ASAP and I will post as soon as I get an answer for you. However, I can tell you that we have started production on our 16 GT FV that should be showing up in the channel very soon, I would expect it any day or with in the next few weeks. But your reseller will or should know a date of availability if they have them on order.
nhasian
thanks for the update Ram Guy. I've been watching these forums the past few weeks waiting for the 16 Gig Voyager GT to show up so I can grab one. Planning on using it to install Ubuntu or Fedora Linux on it and see if I cant use linux exclusively instead of windows. Anyway, my question is if they are coming out in the next few weeks shouldn't retailers already have the SKU or part number and have them available for preorder? I checked on amazon and newegg and didnt find anything. The Voyager GT drives are not even listed on Corsair's website.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 31, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 31, 2008 You would think so yes but I really cannot say, why they have or have not. There may be some issue holding them back I am not aware of. Sometimes they really treat me like a mushroom LOL. I would suggest we give it a few more days and if I dont get a reply bump the thread and I will send a email again with Bigger words!

jprich
I LOVED my 2G GT. I was looking to upgrade to a 4G after it got caught in my car door. =( Any official reason why they are dropping the lower capacities? Thanks.
Wired
I'd imagine cost. With the bigger sizes becoming cheaper to make, they replace the older models' price points.
