Hequi
HELP!!!! I am trying to make sure that this is last back and forth with my "serverboard" memory compatibility issue. I have an ASUS K8N-LR serverboard, with an Athlon 64 FX-60 CPU installed in a 939 pin socket. First I had two sets of TWINX2048-3200C2 of which one pair failed and was replaced with TWINX2048-3200C2PT. Then the other set of TWINX2048-3200C2 failed and now all (C2s & C2PTs) were replaced with CM72SD1024RLP-3200/M G. I called technical support to make sure the BIOS is configured correctly so I could put this memory issue behind me, but guess what: I am told that I have the wrong memory again and they should be two sets of TWINX2048-3200C2PT. Someone please do a thorough research and tell me which memory modules I "definitely" should have for my 939 pin socket "serverboard" and clear up this confusion; so I can get my RMA correct for the final time. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 29, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 29, 2008 The MB you have would take Un-Buffered memory so you should be using TWINX2048-3200C2 or 3200C2PT and if you have more than two modules installed you would need to set the memory frequency to DDR333 and I would set the timings to Cas 2.5-3-3-7 at 2.75 Volts. Hequi
Presently I have one pair of 3200C2PT installed that is working fine. I was told by your customer service today that the other pair of 3200C2PT was shipped out yesterday. It is good to hear that I do have the correct memory modules now. Once received I will install them and attempt the settings you recommend, however I don't believe I will be able to set the 2.75 volts. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted February 8, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted February 8, 2008 Please check in Jumper free or Frequency and Voltage control to see for the memory Voltage and if not then they might run at DDR333 with the default voltage.
