Christoph74
Hi, I have got a problem with my new system. One Module is completely non-functional. If I only use the other one, it creates the bios post message "AI Overclocking failed. Press F1 to change bios settings. Press F2 to load default values." at every reboot. I have tried changing the RAM-settings to auto as well as setting 1067MHz-2T-5-5-5-15-2.15V manually with no satisfying result. The system will boot if I press F2 but I cannot change any bios settings this way. With one or two Corsair CM2X1024-6400C4 Modules instead of the TWIN2X2048-8500C5D the system works perfectly so I guess might be a RAM issue. Are there any known issues with this configuration? Christoph74
Well, I have managed to make at least one of the Modules work at 1066MHz (Bios 0906; setting DRAM Freq. 1066MHz; all other settings auto) The other one still does not work a bit (black screen when inserted) so I will simply RMA the set tomorrow as there do not seem to be any compatibly problems anymore... Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 28, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 28, 2008 Please make sure that you have the latest Bios version and then load setup/optimized defaults and set the Dim Voltage to 2.0 volts (+.2 Volts W/Giga-Byte) and then set the timings manually to the tested settings for the specific module you have, or if you have Value Select "BY SPD" and then test the module/'s one at a time with http://www.memtest.org! If you still get errors, please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it! However, if you get errors with both modules that would suggest some other problem and I would test them in another system or MB to be sure. In addition, with some MB's (Mostly ASUS) you have to disable legacy USB in the bios when running any memory test.
