Tamai
G'day All. This is my first post and I need some clarity on what settings are the right ones for my ram. I have an ASUS P5K SE Mobo and CM2X1024-6400 ram which I bought in a 2Gb kit. The following info are on the ramstick as well: 1.9 V ver 5.1 5-5-5-12. My question is, is my memory type then XMS2-6400C5 and if so why do they have the lat settings as 5-5-5-18 while mine (see above) shows -12. I also want to know the if these are the correct settings for my setup: The Corsair Support Forums > General Corsair Topics > F.A.Q. XMS Qualification and Testing! Testing parameters for Twinx/XMS2-6400: Twin2x1024A-6400 Data Sheet Twin2x2048-6400 Data Sheet Motherboard make and model: Asus M2N32-SLI Premium/Deluxe Each pair is tested and packaged together using the following settings: AI Over Clock Tuner: Manual CPU External Frequency: Manually set to 200MHz DDR2 SDRAM Clock: Manually set to 800MHz PCI Express Freq: Auto PCI Freq: 33.33 Performance Mode: Standard DRAM Timing Selectable: Manual SDRAM CAS Latency: 5T SDRAM RAS to CAS Delay (tRCD): 5T SDRAM Row Precharge (tRP): 5T SDRAM Active to Precharge Delay (tRAS): 12T SDRAM Write Recovery Time: 5 Write to Precharge Delay: 15 (If it's Listed) Command Rate: 2T DDR2 SDRAM Voltage: 1.9 Advanced voltage control CPU Vcore offset:_Disabled DDR2 Termination: 0.5x CPU to NB HT:____1.200V NB to SB HT:_____AUTO NB Core/PCI-E:___AUTO SB Core/PCI-E:___AUTO SB Standby core:_+1.500V Output driver control CKE:______AUTO CS/ODT:__1.00X ADD/CMD:_1.00X MEMCLK:__1.00X All other settings are motherboard defaults. Maximum DDR2 recommended VDIMM: 2.1 The problem that i'm having with my pc is that it works fine with just one stick in but as soon as i insert a second one i get a blue screen occasionally. I have run memtest which came up with no errors. Also ran Windows Memory Diagnostic which showed no errors in the standard and extended tests. However when i ran the standard test again this time with cache turned off in the first pass MATS+ failed. I'm a bit baffled by all this so PLS help  PS: I forgot to mention that I get bluescreen either during startup or while play WoW. Wired
I also want to know the if these are the correct settings for my setup Yes and no. Look under 6400C5, not 6400, but they are very close.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 29, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 29, 2008 And the tested settings would have to be manually set Cas 5-5-5-12 at 1.9 Volts for XM2S-6400 & 6400C5. The modules SPD will be set to the JEDEC defined values Cas 5-5-5-18 at 1.8 Volts so they will post in most systems.
