Jeffreestylz
Hi, I'm having issues mainly with the my Asus A8V Deluxe and my TwinX1024-3200XL Pro in dual channel. Please check my signature for my current system setup. I was trying to run the ram at the rated clks (2-2-2-5 @1T @ 2.7v) but it would not run Prime95 for more than 5 mins. So I tried to bump up the DDR voltage to 2.8v. When I exited BIOS setup, it would not reboot. The LEDs on the RAM would not light up on the reboot, so I figured it was my memory or mobo (also nothing displayed on the monitor). I then cleared CMOS and started from scratch again and left everything at stock. Do you know why I'm not able to bump up the voltage to 2.8v? It'll post on 2.7v but won't run Prime95. I ran the newest memtest and left it overnight. Woke up with 7 errors at the default speeds after the CMOS clear (2-3-2-5) and everything set to auto. Think it's a memory issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated. P.S. Just found out I have a busted floppy drive too...so I can't flash BIOS unless I use EZ Flash.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 25, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 25, 2008 I would suggest setting the Command Rate to 2t and see if that makes a difference, Command Rate is not really a memory setting and would be dependent on the make and model of MB and PSU and the specific CPU you have installed. You might look this setting up on Techarp and get a better explanation.
Jeffreestylz
Ok, I'v set command speed to 2T and it still is failing. However, I've tried running my other set of 3200XL Pro (i have 4 sticks of 512mb total) and they worked. I've Memtest all 4 modules individually and 2 of them pass the Memtest overnight and the other 2 don't (1 module fails with errors on test 7 and the other won't even post). With the one module with errors, I tried running Prime95 overnight, and it errored out as well. So now I'm happily running with 1024mb in dual channel with the two working modules, but I want to RMA my other two sticks. How should I proceed with this? Jeffreestylz
Sorry forgot to note. Before I did my latest tests, I flashed to the latest BIOS (1018.002) and nothing is overclocked.
