Thorsdad
I was issued RMA #1042332 and mailed in my parts. The status link I was sent shows the defective parts as received on January 16th. Since then nothing. Even with the long weekend the 24-72 hour window is long gone. I've got my system running with some cheap Frys memory that has a 15 day return policy. Looks like I'm gonna own it. Any way to find out why my replacements haven't been shipped?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 25, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 25, 2008 The part you sent in is on back order is why there is a delay, I would suggest calling our customer service to see what can be done 888-222-4346 or 510-657-8747 Ext "0". ripto
Same story with me, RMA #1042528, for TWIN2X2048-8500C5D. I called up since there was no update about the replacement part being shipped since its been a week since the bad parts were received and they said the RAM is on back order and will be sent out via 3 day UPS when its available. My question is how exactly is Corsair RAM backordered by Corsair? Just seems a little confusing to me that the manufacturer has its own RAM backordered :sunglasse. Is there any estimated date of when this RAM will arrive and be able to be shipped? I just recently built a new comp and haven't been able to use it yet its killing me lol. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 31, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 31, 2008 They are about 30 days behind from what I have seen on that part. I would suggest calling our customer service back and ask for a supervisor if you cannot wait.
breaker
IMHO Corsair ought to replace the sticks with the next best thing instead of making people wait 30 days After all we did shell out for a lifetime warranty and quality high-speed RAM. ripto
I got an update to the RMA a few days ago saying the replacement part was shipped. I see the replacement part they sent me was listed as "TWIN2X2048-8500C5D G" Does that G stand for something? I RMA'd the same part minus the G so just curious what that is.
