RMA Status - Defective parts received over 8 days ago

I was issued RMA #1042332 and mailed in my parts. The status link I was sent shows the defective parts as received on January 16th. Since then nothing. Even with the long weekend the 24-72 hour window is long gone. I've got my system running with some cheap Frys memory that has a 15 day return policy. Looks like I'm gonna own it.

 

Any way to find out why my replacements haven't been shipped?

Same story with me, RMA #1042528, for TWIN2X2048-8500C5D.

 

I called up since there was no update about the replacement part being shipped since its been a week since the bad parts were received and they said the RAM is on back order and will be sent out via 3 day UPS when its available. My question is how exactly is Corsair RAM backordered by Corsair? Just seems a little confusing to me that the manufacturer has its own RAM backordered :sunglasse. Is there any estimated date of when this RAM will arrive and be able to be shipped? I just recently built a new comp and haven't been able to use it yet its killing me lol.

I got an update to the RMA a few days ago saying the replacement part was shipped. I see the replacement part they sent me was listed as "TWIN2X2048-8500C5D G" Does that G stand for something? I RMA'd the same part minus the G so just curious what that is.

you guys should count youorself lucky - ive been waiting 50+ days and still waiting. being in the UK dont have the luxury of picking up the phone and ringing through
