fmora
I noticed that Corsair no longer has the Voyager GT version listed on their site: http://www.corsair.com/products/voyager.aspx Has it been replaced? I was waiting for the 16GB GT or 32GB GT to be released. Any news on GT?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 24, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 24, 2008 All I can say at this time is I am sorry the left hand does not know what the right hand is doing. But I will find out. I suspect they are updating the web site. However as far as I know the GT line is sill in production and 16 Gig GT is in production. No word yet on the 32 Gig GT version. GivenRandy
I just saw that, too. About once a week I check to see if there is news of the 16GB GT version (let alone a 32GB version). I went on the website and there was NO mention of GT version.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 25, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 25, 2008 As I suspected we are updating the Site and we have discontinued 2G 4G, and 8G GT versions but the 16 GT VF will be out shortly and the reason why it was pulled from our site. cvo
As I have a 4GB GT in RMA, (being shipped to you as I type this) what will happen regarding my replacement drive? I'm going to want a GT drive not just a regular. If I wanted a slow drive I would have chosen a different brand, the GT is the fastest around and I don't want a downgrade. cvo
Just an update for anyone else that is wondering. I called customer support and the guy I talked to said that while they've stopped public sale of some GT drives, (ie. my 4GB), they are still continuing manufacturing to support the RMA's. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 31, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 31, 2008 I suspect that will stop soon but we will retain some in RMA buffer. But thank you for posting that!
