FodderMan
I have a Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3 revision 2.0 motherboard and a E6300 CPU that I have been using happily with another brand of RAM, but I decided to upgrade to a set of TWIN2X2048-6400C5DHX RAM, and I'm having a lot of trouble. After changing my BIOS settings to the optimized defaults and swapping my existing RAM for the new Corsair memory, I get a nothing but repeating fast beeps, which apparently signifies no memory. If I swap my old RAM back in, I'm up and running. I tried a single stick, both sticks, different slots, and I did bump up the voltage to +0.2 after reading that suggestion in these forums. Any thoughts? Surely I don't have two bad sticks?! It HAS to be user error...
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 24, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 24, 2008 With your old memory I would recommend that you update your BIOS to the latest version, and then load optimized defaults. If you still have the same results then let us know!
