rocketship
Hi, I have a set of TWIN2X2048-6400C5DHX in a MSI P6N SLI motherboard, and I'd like to add a set of TWIN2X4096-6400C5DHX to them. The recommended latency settings for the larger sticks are different - will this work, and what memory settings should I use in BIOS? thanks, RS
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 23, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 23, 2008 I would not suggest it but if you do I would try them at Cas 5-5-5-15 at 2.0 Volts and set the frequency at DDR667 and set the NB/MCH Voltage to +.05 Volts. rocketship
You were right, mixing the 1gb and 2gb modules didn't work. I did however exchange the 1gb modules for a pair of 2gb modules, and I can't boot with all four modules in (8gb), only with three (6gb). Do I need to adjust the voltage and timings for this config? Thanks, RS
