SILVABULLET
Hi there!;): Ive just brought corsair cm2x1024-6400c4 g matched pairs. 4-4-4-12 800mhz xms2-6400 v2.1 ddr2 mem. Also asus m2n sli deluxe am2 socket mobo. And an athlon 64 x2 5000+ am2 cpu. Both my 1gb memory sticks r working no probs. But i cant get them both working together as dual channel or non dual. And had to install vista ultimate with only one 1gb stick in. i get some werd errors come up when both plugged in. And then it wont boot into windows. Can you please help as i want both running dual channel. Not just runing the one stick as i am for now. Im so gutted spending all this money to find these probs. It may be some settings as these type of mobos r new to me. dunno if its timmings or what:evil::[pouts: i would appreciate it much if you could help me to get my pc running sweet.. :laughing:thx silva. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 21, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 21, 2007 With 4 modules on that MB you would need to run the memory at DDR667 and I would set the memory Voltage to 2.1 Volts and set the NB/MCH Voltage to +.05 Volts and make sure the command Rate is set to 2t and the TRC if its listed is set to 24 then test the system with http://www.memtest.org to make sure its stable. Also You'll need to install MS patch 929777 from Microsoft for more than 3 GIG in Win Vista. you can search for it at http://www.microsoft.com. Just make sure you get the right patch for the specific version you have.

Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 21, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 21, 2007 OK sorry then just use the tested settings and test them one at a time and make sure one is not failing. But set the Command Rate to 2T and set the TRC if it's listed to 24 and you will need to disable legacy USB when running http://www.memtest.org. SILVABULLET
hi again ppl! right ive try a few ways now with no joy. there is no setting for nb/mch voltage on the mobo. so i cant change that. i keep getting this error when both 1gb sticks r in together. as 2gb! file\windows\system 32\winload.exe status: oxc0000221 info. the file is possibly corrupt. its header checksum does not match the corrupted checksum. :[pouts: but 1x 1gb mem stick pulled out. it boots fine to vista 32bit ultimate. and ive tryed with both so they r working fine. still cant find how 2 get both working together:confused:.. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 21, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 21, 2007 Will it pass http://www.memtest.org with both installed? If not what test are you getting errors on? If you got no errors in memtest what happens when you try to Boot to Windows?
