risnjak
I have INTEL D865PERL w P4 2.4 Ghz 800Mhz Bus and currently Corsair TWINX CMX512-3200C2 x 2(in channel A/B DIMM0) and would like to upgrade. Can I keep what I have and add new pair or is better to go with S2GBKIT400C3 x 2, as suggested in this forum? What will be the best memory if money is not objection? It is better to go with just a VS2GBKIT400C3 kit on this motherboard. The Intel 865PE chipset's memory controller will not run reliably at DDR400 speed with more than two sticks of memory installed. In addition, the D865PERL has no provision at all whatsoever to manually adjust the DIMM voltage; it is permanently "fixed" at 2.5V (but any XMS series 3200C2 memory requires at least 2.7V in order to work reliably).
