Evergreen64
I just installed 2 sets of TWINX 20483200C2 memory in my Asus P4C800 Deluxe and it ran slower than when I had 1 Gig installed. So I took out 2 modules (so I could still run in dual channel) and it seems faster now. I did read on the Asus boards that the Intel P875 chipset has problems with anything over 3 gigs. Why would it be so much slower with the full 4 gigs of memory?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 18, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 18, 2008 With 4 module I would suggest setting the memory frequency at DDR333 and set the timings to Cas 2.5-3-3-7 at 2.75 Volts and see if its more stable. In addition, if its still sluggish I would uninstall the Video driver and try it with the default Windows driver to make sure its not a driver issue with 4 gig.
