awanau
Hi, I've got an E6600, P5N E-SLI motherboard 8800 GTX PSU HPU-4B-580-MU. Bios is version 803. I have tested my system 2 days ago with the bios setting 5-5-5-18 at 1.8v. I have got a set of errors(500-600) at 98% of test5 after 8 minutes. I have tested it also one day ago with as setting 5-5-5-12 at 2.013V during 10 hours. I have got around 20 errors for 20 complete tests. I have tested it today with as setting 5-5-5-18 at 2.013 v an my proc overclocked to 2.7 ghz. Test has been running for 10 hours. I have got 10 errors. This pair of memory is the second one I have. With the first one, I have got an average of one error every 3 seconds with standard settings from the bios. SO, can you please give a hand and tell what I have to modify, to test or to read ? Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 17, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 17, 2008 Please make sure that you have the latest bios and load setup defaults and then set the memory Voltage to 2.0 Volts then set the timings manually to the tested settings for the specific module you have, and test the modules one at a time with http://www.memtest.org to be sure one is not failing. If you still get errors, please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it! However, if you get errors with both modules that would suggest some other problem and I would test them in another system or MB to be sure. In addition, with some MB's (Mostly ASUS) you have to disable legacy USB in the bios when running any memory test. . Please not with this MB you will also need to set Command Rate to 2T manually and set the TRC if it's listed to 24.
