phourmouzis
Hi There, I have a Maximus Formula motherboard and TWIN2X2048-8500C5D G memory version 2.3 (not 2.2). Quad Core 2.4 G0. Timings are set manually to to 5-5-5-15 and the command rate to 2T. Memory voltage has also been manually set to 2.1V. For some reason, when I run CPU-Z or Everest, it shows that the memory SPD reported as CM2X1024-10000C5D. The same is reported when all settings are set to "Auto". Is there something wrong here? I do not want to over clock my PC - what are the best settings I should use for this motherboard and memory? Conversely, if I did want to overclock my PC in the future, what would be the best memory settings? Regards, Paul
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 16, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 16, 2008 These modules may have been programmed with the wrong part number in the SPD. This is not going to effect any performance or compatibility. Can you tell me what the EPP settings are listed as in the SPD tab of CPU-Z? These modules are tested at 5-5-5-15 at 2.15 volts to operate at 1066MHz. Any overclocking settings beyond our tested settings could not be guaranteed, however you can test on your own and see how far you can push them! Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 16, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 16, 2008 Looks like the part number is just programmed wrong in the SPD, all the other settings check out as an 8500C5D module.
