Ween
I'm getting the error "Cannot delete (file name). The disk is write-protected. Remove the write-protection or use another disk." I uninstalled it via device manager and had my OS (XP SP2) reinstall it, but the problem still comes back. On occasion I've used the old school ez recover tool which will fix the flash drive for about another two or three uses before it goes out again. Any other suggestions? Thanks. Ween
by the by, here are my results when I tried to format the drive using your command line function: C:\Documents and Settings\Ween>Format f: /FS:FAT32 /U Insert new disk for drive F: and press ENTER when ready... The type of the file system is FAT. The new file system is FAT32. Verifying 1983M Cannot format. This volume is write protected. I've received an RMA number (RMA #1042690) so I'll go ahead and send it back in. Again, thanks for all your help!
