tko-rock
I put together a system back in October for a friend built around an ABIT IP35 Pro board. To date (with the painful exception of Vista), all has been good. Approximately 1 month ago, she started having problems posting. She would get intermittent C1 posting errors (along with the associated beeping). A hard power cycle would usually clear up the problem right away. Last week she gave me a call to let me know that nothing would get it past the C1/Beeping post. After a through power connection check, cleared CMOS, and a re-seating of everything but the CPU, I can get the system to boot. However, it will only post on 1 stick of the Corsair (1X1024-8500C5D @ 512MB) and on any voltage setting from 1.8V to 2.1. It will work in any of the slots. The remaining 3 Corsair sticks will not work in any of the slots and/or voltage setting. I find it hard to believe that the remaining 3 sticks all died within such a short period. While I have not been able to test the memory on the 3 suspect sticks, the remaining stick checks out fine. Anyone willing to provide insight and/or suggestions? Your assistance is greatly appreciated! -- TKO-ROCK
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 14, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 14, 2008 Let's get them all replaced, please use the On Line RMA Request Form and we will be happy to replace them. But I would suggest getting the MB checked as well or replaced if that happens again.
