jacob weber
Hello... I am having a problem with getting a c1 error and after reading about it on the forums, I downloaded Memtest and went about testing each ram stick individually and in pairs. On one set, One stick will boot up fine, but the other gives me errors and says only approx 933mb available. On the 2nd set, one runs fine, but when I try to boot the second chip, it wont boot by itself, and if I try to run it as a set, gives me a c1 error. If I try to run all 4 chips (in proper dualchannel stacks), on a cold system it will give me a c1 error. After about 2-5 mins of resetting, and rebooting, it will allow me to boot to windows vista 64bit and does say that all 4gb are available. It seems to run fine, but Its just annoying to have to reboot. As a last test, I took the 2 "good" sticks, and ran them as dual channel ram and also ran memtest on them. They booted up just fine, and the tests were successful. Any suggestions?
