jklocke
I just completed my first build and was looking forward to trying out SLI, but the BIOS reported that it did not detect SLI ready memory. I'm running a XFX nForce 680i LT SLI mobo with TWIN2X2048-6400C5DHX memory. I'm new to this, so any in-depth explanations/ideas will make it easier for me. Mondoman
Which type of SLI did you want to try? Type 1 (most common): using two nVidia graphics cards in the same PC to boost graphics performance on a single screen. Type 2 (much less common): extra factory-sanctioned memory overclock settings stored in the SPD data area of a memory module. This is also known as "EPP" (Corsair's name for it). Assuming you want to try Type 2, I'm not sure why your MB reports no SLI ready/EPP memory, as a 680i MB should recognize it, and I thought all recent Corsair XMS2 DIMMs had EPP data. You can always run something like CPU-Z in Windows in order to show you what SLI/EPP voltage/timing profiles are in each DIMM, and then go ahead and manually set the memory voltage and timings to match. bigbuck08
That RAM doesnt support SLI Ready. I have the same stuff and it is overclocking great for me.
