bwana
what do the latency timings REALLY mean and what practical effect do they have? I tried running a pair of corsair 3200 twinx LL in an ABIT NF7-S with an amd 2600 at 200 fsb at a bunch of different settings and then running memtest+ at 2-2-2-7: errors appearred sporadically at 2-3-2-7 no probs at 2-2-3-7 no probs My question has to do with the specification of these values for this ram: SDRAM RAS to CAS Delay (tRCD): 3T SDRAM Row Precharge (tRP): 2T Does it make a difference if I increase one and decrease the other? I have an odd stick of faster ram (pc3200 2-2-2-5 winbond 5). Will adding this to the third slot of the mobo (closest to cpu) help or hurt? It seems I cant put it in the first slot.(furthest from cpu)
