scraper
According to the page of EVGA this memory modules should fit without problems. I bought them 2 or 3 month ago. It was since then never possible to run them on 1066 stable. The system crashed with several bluescreens and errors concerning the memory. I never changed the voltage settings nor the timings. Now my computer doesn't boot any more. And there is a message from the Motherboard (C1) meaning that there is something wrong with the memory. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 10, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 10, 2008 These modules may not operate properly and definitely would not run at 1066MHz running at the default memory voltage. I would recommend testing the modules one at a time, and if you are able to get into the BIOS set the memory voltage to 2.1 volts and restest the modules. scraper
Unfortunately, I can't access the BIOS because of the error. The screen stays black and the MB is displaying that message (C1).
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 11, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 11, 2008 If both modules are giving you a C1 error when tested individually then there may be some other issue, are you able to test the modules in a different system? Or do you have any other memory to test on this system?
scraper
I'll test my system with the modules of a friend. I'll tell you the results. Regards Benjamin

scraper
ok ... yesterday I've tested them and my pc worked very well and without complaining anything. So there must be a problem with the RAM Modules. I've already opened an RMA and I'll send them to you to replace them. Thanks Regards Benjamin
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 18, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 18, 2008 What spec did the replacement memory run at? 667MHz, 800MHz? Did you try running the Corsair memory at the same spec to see if they still fail? If the Corsair memory runs just fine at the spec of the other memory, and they are still both failing at 1066MHz, then there may be some other issue, however we can certainly replace them if you like! scraper
The problem with your suggestion is that the pc didn't boot anymore. The screen was black all the time. No possibility to access the BIOS. The RAMs of my friend run at 800, so did the Dominators. Now the pc works well, the system is more stable then before. I can't say for sure if it was the RAM that made the problems but the evidence is very clear. I hope it works with the new ones.
