Rob94hawk
Running memtest86+ using CORSAIR 2GB (2 x 1GB) DDR3 1800 TWIN3X20481800C7DFIN and I got 22 errors. E6750 450x7 @ 3.1Ghz/1.35V DDR3 @ 1800/7-7-7-20/2V Up the vdimm more? I'm already at 2.0V and I flunked Super Pi 32m as well. Edit: Also, what's with the cpu being @ 3.6? Does memtest set the multiplier @ 8? Sorry, it's a bit blurry: http://i2.tinypic.com/86rf9n5.jpg http://i17.tinypic.com/8et6b2b.jpg
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 9, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 9, 2008 What do you have the MCH/NB Voltage set to? I would add +.05 Volts and try adding +.5 Volts to the CPU and see if the results change. If not try and set the CPU Multiplier to 7 and see if that changes. Multiplier is already at 7 which is why I was confused when I saw 3.6Ghz on memtest. So I have the fsb @ 450x7 for 3.1Ghz, the divider set @ 400D to get 1800Mhz for the DDR3. Don't know why memtest is reading 3.6Ghz. As for voltage NB and cpu is stock settings so I'll give them a nudge in voltage as you suggested. The NB on this mobo gets hot. I think the NB needs the fan more than the ram does.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 10, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 10, 2008 I would strongly suggest a fan on the NB and the memory with that over clock in fact adding a FAN might just solve the problem. But please let me know how you make out!
