I'm changing the voltage to 2.1 The DRAM Speed to 1:2.00 (DDR2-1088) MCH Voltage to 1.3 V CAS Latency 5 RAS to CAS delay 5 RAS Precharge 5 Percharge Delay 15 Get a C1 error on my board; any help please?? thanks
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 9, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 9, 2008 It is very unlikely that both modules would fail at the same time. I would suggest testing the modules individually in the same memory slot. If one of the modules fails and the other works, then we will need to replace both of them for you. However, if you get errors with both of them, that would usually suggest some other problem.
x2srj
Hi, Thanks for the reply; I don't think it's the sticks... more the configuration with the board... I just thought I'd post on here mainly to see if my settings were correct and also if there was something I missed... Thanks..
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 10, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 10, 2008 Please make sure that you have the latest BIOS for your motherboard and then load optimized defaults and set the Memory Voltage to 2.1 volts and then set the timings to 5-5-5-15 (CAS-tRCD-tRP-tRAS) and then test the modules one at a time with http://www.memtest.org! Please allow memtest to run 2-3 passes on each module. If you still get errors, we will be happy to replace them! However, if you get errors with both modules that would suggest some other problem and I would test them in another system or MB to be sure. x2srj
Thanks again... One stick appears to work fine; runs at 1066 and passes 3 tests with the ISO from memtest.org... but the other stick I cannot seem to get to work... Recently I had these back on a RMA because of a faulty mobo and these were sent back tested and I was told they were fine... but for one stick to work and one not something seems up to me... I don't change any settings; just swap one stick over for another; I've also tried running both together.. any suggestions?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 11, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 11, 2008 If one is passing and the other fails at these settings then I would recommend getting the modules replaced, how long have you had these replacement modules? Did they ever function properly?
x2srj
These sticks I've had since last September... They went back recently because of my old mobo but were sent back tested and working... They did used to work... What happens if I RMA them back to http://www.scan.co.uk and they tell me they're both ok? Something must be up if one works and one doesn't with the same set up... x2srj
ok... I've now tried these sticks in the latest BIOS update from Abit and still one stick works and one sticks doesn't... Scan.co.uk are asking me to test in another machine because if I return to them and they're don't get the same issue they'll charge me for their time and send back... I'm going to RMA through yourselves..., your support has be excellent! steve
