lazy_boy
hi i have just got a set of TWIN2X2048-8500C5DF and i had few issues with it booting up with my asus p5e MB but thats solved now. however i still get system crashes and i decided to run the RAM test with memtest86. At first i tried it with 2 dimms and the memtest didnt finsh it just froze on test 8 with 75% to go. so i decided to do one dimm at a time and one pass no worries but the other caused memtest to freeze on test 8 with 75% to go. So this mean i have a bad Module? cheers

Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 9, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 9, 2008 If that is an ASUS P5E then you will need to set the timings manually as well as Disable Legacy USB when running any memory test.
lazy_boy
ok i have set timmings to 5-5-5-15 and volts to 2.15 and also turned off legancy USB. i still get the same issue, on test 6 about 72% the error counter hits about 3200 and goes to 0 then back to 3200 and then 0, it does this continuesly and i have left it for 2 hrs, only way to stop is press computer reset button.
