nathanll
I was running a twin2x2048-5400c4 set. I wanted more RAM. I went to a local shop talked through with the guy there and he recommended twin2x1024-5400c4 to go up to 3GB total as if I went to 4GB Vista home would not recognize much past 3GB. So I bought a set. Now however I can not get the computer to POST with the 1GB set installed. Can you offer any suggestions? Thanks in advance. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 7, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 7, 2008 With 4 modules on that MB with that CPU I would set the memory frequency at DDR533 /266 MHz and set the memory Voltage to 2.0 Volts and just let the BIOS set the timings and see if that will post. nathanll
Thanks managed to get it working  Had to up the voltage to 2.085V. Is there anyway I can get it to run at 667 MHz or 675Mhz, instead of 533? Thanks once again Nathan
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 10, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 10, 2008 Yes but you would most likely have to over clock the CPU.
nathanll
OK so what do you recommend, I have pushed the CPU to 2.4GHz stable before 266 FSB with a x9 multiplier.
