openpablohoney Posted January 5, 2008 Share Posted January 5, 2008 Bought two 450VX psu's. Installed one in an eMachine w3400 and one in a w1800. Both psu's work fine but when installed in the w1800 will not turn it on. You can see the fan on the psu start to turn a little but will not power it on. Swapped between the two and both work in the w3400. Is this a case of not enough power where the w1800 needs it? It's an older pc which ran an Antec 430w in it before. The motherboard must support ATX 12v 2.0 or later in order for our PSUs to work with the system. Some OEM manufacturers will use proprietary or ATX 12v 1.3 PSUs, I would recommend contacting the manufacturer to find out the power specifications for your system.
