Margaretn
The manual for the Asus P5GC-MX/1333 says it takes up to 2GB of 533/667 memory. The Corsair compatibility "finder" lists up to 4GB of memory at 533/675 (not 667)/800/1066/etc. Will the faster, "bigger" memory actually work? Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 3, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 3, 2008 I think that was just a mistake on our Admins part, I have asked for them to correct it ASAP and I would suggest using VS2GB667D2 memory if you want 4 Gig of memory with that MB or VS1GB667D2 and not use any of our XM2S memory with this MB as it will not let you set the memory voltage. Margaretn
So, you are saying that I CAN use 4GB of memory on the board despite what the manual says. You didn't mention the speed issue (533/677/800), so I will assume that it is not an issue, that the manual specifies the memory that was available at the time of production, not that the board itself was limited to that. Thanks for the quick reply.
Margaretn
Sorry. I just re-read your post and see the speed specified in the part number you gave me.
