Teknoka
I've recently just bought two 1GB sticks of Ram for my computer to replace the 512mb ones I have currently. Unfortunatly when i run the computer with these in the computer runs fine aand can read the two modules, but after a minute or so the cmputer just restarts. I've removed them and added the old memory but i need to know if there is a way to stop the computer restarting with the upgraded memory. Both sticks are exactly the same and are supposed to be compatible to my computer. Any advice would be great. PS - I shall add some details about the RAM and my computer if need be. Thanks in advance Ram Cors VS 2GB (2x1GB) DDR2667MHZ Computer Rio (GA-8TRC410MNF-RH) Motherboard Name: Rio (GA-8TRC410MNF-RH) Type: µATX motherboard Manufacturer: GigaByte Packard Bell Imedia 1559

Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 3, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 3, 2008 If possible, with only the Corsair modules installed, I would suggest entering the setup/BIOS and loading setup/optimized defaults. Once you have done this, I would recommend that you test the modules one at a time with http://www.memtest.org! Please allow memtest to run 2-3 passes on each module. If you still get errors, we will be happy to replace them! However, if you get errors with both modules that would suggest some other problem and I would test them in another system or MB to be sure.
