atcdav
Everything seemed to be running fine. Then one day BSOD showed up. After 3rd BSOD I figured out how to stop auto restart and the message gave nv4_disp.dll as culprit. So I updated the video drivers and BSOD went away. But now I get rendering errors in a video agme I play, I thought it was the drivers. Someone mentioned ram so I ran windiag and memtest86+. both fail the ram on stride6 and wmats+ but pass other tests. timings are 6-3-3-2.5, voltage is auto set by MB and unadjustable. Do I need to teat each stick separately? My MB sets the timings by default at slower settings than rated, do I need to leave the slower timings? I attached a screenshot of the rendering error. It may be unassociated with the memory error, not sure.
bigbuck08
It could be because you are trying to mix RAM.
Xtreeme
Retest with just 1 stick, then the other. See if either is bad one at a time. If one is bad that explains it but if both pass, you maybe able to find the right timings to run both at same time. :):
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 2, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 2, 2008 Also with these modules you will want to set the memory voltage to 2.75 volts to ensure the system is stable. If you are unable to set memory voltage on your motherboard, then I would recommend that you load setup/optimized defaults and test the modules one at a time with http://www.memtest.org (memtest 1.70). Just run the default test and let us know the results!
