TOTALLY Frustrated with this site!!:eek::eek:

I bought this memory: CORSAIR 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1800 (PC3 14400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Retail

My new machine wont boot (1st time boot)... trying to figure out if its the memory... But i can't find manual to ensure i am installing it correctly.

PLEASE SEE REVIEWER comment from Newegg:

NEWEGG REVIEWER WROTE:

When you purchase this memory you will need to download the PDF file from Corsair's site as the instructions that came with my memory didn't help at all and I know you or thinking what and idiot how hard can ram be to install. Anyway for this ram to work right and run at its rated speed you MUST install it in the BLACK DIMMs A2 & B2 or your system will fail to load windows if you try to run this in A1 & B1 over 1400MHz and it can and most lickly will corrupt windows also the memory is unstable in A1 & B1 at lower speeds.

----------------------------

So Where's the user manual for this... also this site doesn't list my ASUS Motherboard (Asus Maximum Extreme x38 775R)

:: Thanks!

Tom

There is no manual for these modules, however there is a Data Sheet as well as a detailed guide on how to set the memory up manually on the P35 Chipset which should be very similar to your motherboard.

These easiest way to configure the memory with the Maximus board is to set "AI Overclock Tuner" to "XMP" and then enable "Profile 1."

If the problem is that your system is not booting, then test the modules one at a time in the slot closest to the CPU, if one module boots, then try enabling this profile, shut down the system and install the other module and see if you are having the same problems.
