ballie
I just bought some new DDR Ram from dabs (corsair xms Twinx 2048 – 3200C2PT) I fitted it to my pc and had a couple of crashes but after manually resetting the LAT to 2.5 3 3 6 it seems to have stabled now. However before I went to bed I thought I would leave it running the latest version of Memtest 86+ it has run for 15 hours 34 minutes and it has a big red line saying 1 error. (I have got all the info that was on the Memtest screen because I took a photo of the screen) Does this mean my new memory is faulty? and should I send it back to dabs? bigbuck08
Please try testing each module individually with BIOS defaults loaded.
ballie
When you say bios defaults loaded, do you mean the whole bios set to default or just the memory set to SDP? How long would you like me to test each RAM module for?
bigbuck08
Load the whole BIOS defaults. Two passes per module will be plenty.

Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 31, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 31, 2007 Also, these modules are tested at 2.7X volts, and I would recommend that you test with the memory voltage manually set to 2.7X after loading defaults.
