mwtheobald
I am actually trying to figure out the power/current loading for my PSU. How much current would a stick of PC3500 512Mb ram use? And which rail does the power come from? The calculation would be similar to CPU calcs; Rail Current = (ram voltage * ram current) / rail voltage * (1 / %eff) Rail Current - load on PSU Rail Voltage - rail that the RAM gets power from (+5V I assume) Ram Voltage - setting in BIOS (2.6V) Ram Current - this is what I'm looking for!!! %eff - efficency of voltage transfer (prob 80%) Thanks, Mike.
