HX 620 case fitting

Hello

I am new to this forum. I want to buy a HX 620 PSU and looking at what case is best for it. I want to be able to overclock CPU, GPU later, but initally just looking to build a fast PC for gaming without the overclocking.

I have considered antec P182 and other bottom fitting PSU cases, my question is;

If a HX 620 is to be fitted at the bottom, looking at pictures for P182 and HX 620 you will have to fit with the fan facing up, but then the lettering on the PSU will be upside down, ie., PSU is technically upside down. Will this affect the correct quite operation of the fan given then it is fitted upside down?

Or am I mistaken, ehich I doubt looking at HX 620 pictures

regards

ok ramguy, understand

but I have also seen one case that you can only fit the PSU vertically (not common) so from that and you haven't mentioned if it will acutally will make any effect on vibration, noise or lifespan of the fan if it was fitted upside down so that the fan was facing up (this is assuming there is not enough clearence fitting it with the fan facing down).

The other question can you power of a computer PSU without any load to check outputs prior to connection to mobo, etc. If you can then I could just turn it around and see if the noise is more.

I have seen the HX 620 with the power supply mounted with the writing up right. You can see a picture of the P182 and HX 620 posted at http://www.hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1186892. Their are other pictures posted but you should see your planned configuration. I have a P182 with a termaltake 1200 watt power supply and I decided to mount mine upside down in terms of the writing. The decission was made based on power switch an plun in my case. The HX 620 looks like it has plenty room in the P182. I had to remove one of my fans to fit my 1200 watt power supply at the present time due to its length. I highly recommend checking all power supply wires from any manufacture for missing grommits to protect wires to main motherboard even if it is modular power supply. I have seen four power supplies with this same problem.

I expect this this will not answer your question but hope it helps you out until rma guy answers your question if you can invert power supply.
