Medieval Nerd
Hi all, I'm going to install my Nautilus on a Lexa Blackline Case. Quick Specs: AMD AM2 X2 5600+ Asus M2N-E Motherboard Asus EN8800GT Corsair 550W PSU 2 X 1GB RAM Corsair 800mhz 1 X IDE HD 7200rpm 1 X Sata HD 7200rpm My case is going to have: 1 X 120MM fan (intake/front) 1 X 120MM fan (intake/side) 1 X 120MM fan (outake/back) 1 X 80MM fan (outake/Top) 1 X 80MM fan (intake/bottom) Will this procure enough ventilation to ensure that my motherboard is fine? Since there will be no more wind from the cpu heat sink to cool my board. Also another question! If I place the nautilus so that its over my top 80mm fan exhaust, will that help the cooling? Thanks in advance!
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 28, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 28, 2007 You have plenty of fans in that case, you should be fine. Setting the Nautilus over one of the case fans is probably not necessary, but it shouldn't hurt.
Medieval Nerd
Thanks for the speedy reply! Would you know about if other coolants work well with the nautilus?

Thanks in advance! Jeesh, I have ONE 92mm fan exhausting heat out the top of my case with the N500. Why go WC with all the fans and noise?
Medieval Nerd
Don't worry the 120MM fans are low rpm 1200 silent fans. 24dba. They come with the case, with exception of the 80mm bottom fan that i'm adding myself. And boogieman! Since you metioned having a Nautilus, how noisy is it really? I've seen reviews saying silent, then some say its horrible. Then some say that if you compare it to top notch cooling that yes its noisy. Thanks in advance! boogieman
The N500 is not silent. It's the first I've owned so I have nothing to compare it to.
