SchmidtHappens
I purchased a 2GB Flash Voyager GT back in August and I don't recall it ever performing up to standards. Recently, it has gotten worse and I now get frequent error messages when I plug it in. The message pops up from Windows in the corner and says something like "USB Device not Recognized. One of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognize it." This is if I get any response at all, which is not often. I frequently have to plug/unplug it 10-12 times before it works properly, and even then it only lasts a minute or two before I get the error message again. I have tried this on multiple computers and have had the same problem on all of them. I'm using Windows XP. Let me know if you need any more information, as I really would like this to work as well as my old Voyager. Thanks, SchmidtHappens

garethd.norris
Hi, I have the 4gb version which now gives me the same message as above. Is there any way i can recover the data prior to sending an RMA or can it be done as part of the RMA process? I have a quite recent backup but i still stand to lose a lot of changes. Thanks, Gareth. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 27, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 27, 2007 If there is a drive letter assigned to the FV when you insert it you can try one of the recovery utilities from this site. However, if that does not work I am sorry to say that we do not offer any type of Data recovery, and we would only be able to replace it.
