H9o
I recently increased the voltage to my memory and now the BIOS doesn't even come up anymore. The reason I increased the voltage is because I had been having problems with the new memory I just installed which was Corsair XMS2 1gb (2x512mb) What can I do? bigbuck08
Try clearing the CMOS. For information on that refer to your motherboard manual.
H9o
I did that and it still didn't work. Could I have damaged or destroyed the memory modules by setting the voltage too high?

H9o
I don't know exactly what the part name is so I'll just give you what is says on the module. CM2X512A-6400 XMS6405v4.1 1171398 07200409 5-5-5-12 XMS2-6400
Wired
I don't know exactly what the part name is so I'll just give you what is says on the module. That's what the link was for, to help you interpret the label. The part name for your memory is CM2X512A-6400. The max warrantied voltage is 2.1 volts for your memory, so yes, 2.259v could have damaged it. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 26, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 26, 2007 Max Voltage for that part would be 2.1 Volts, I think I could let 2.15 Volts slide but thats a bit too much.
