Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 26, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 26, 2007 Yes they will run great, but watch out there is a DDR2 version of the Maximus MB, so make sure its the Extreme edition.
jeremieh2005
Confirmed!! Thanks it does work. I don't exactly know how great yet (because I am having issues with my phase cooling unit), but it does work!
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 27, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 27, 2007 jeremieh2005 Great and thanks for letting us know! jc64 With that CPU you would be limited to DDR1066 unless you over clock the CPU.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 27, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 27, 2007 I am saying they will run at DDR1066 because of the CPU Speed you have, but to run the memory at their tested settings you would need to over clock the CPU. jc64
NP Please let me know if you have any more questions! Ok, I now have a pair of TWIN3X2048-1333C9's up and running too in a maximus extreme with q6600 cpu 1066 fsb . I let the board auto detect everything and haven't changed any settings yet. I have XP pro installed and stable. Modules currently running at 1.55v and 7-7-7-20 2T. Would like to know what settings I should be running at for stock benchmarking, then at 1 level up? I appreciate any info, haven't built a system in a while. Thanks.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 10, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 10, 2008 All I can tell you would be the tested setting's, which you can get from the link in my signature. The reset would be up to you and testing them with your system to get the best settings IE performance from your system.
