squizm
Hello, I'm trying to adjust the timing of my memory to the following recommended specs: TWIN2X2048-6400 DDR2-800 (5-5-5-12) 2GB Kit (2 x 1GB) 5-5-5-12-2T 1.9 I run CPU-Z and it states that the timing is 5-5-5-18 1.8. How do I go about changing this?
Yellowbeard
Check your manual for the bios section on memory adjustments. However, if you are currently stable and do not intend to OC, I'd leave the settings where they are.
squizm
Thanks for the quick reply, the issue is that the board is giving me troubles. Here is a link to a youtube vid I posted demonstrating the problems I'm having http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v_u4kJKg8bw As you can see the video drivers are causing a BSOD when attempting to play Hellgate London. Their tech support advised me to check the timing recommended for my memory so here I am. Corair site says 5-5-5-12 1.9 but its currently set at 5-5-5-18 1.8. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 21, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 21, 2007 Please go to your BIOS setup and load setup defaults and then set the memory Voltage to 2.0 Volts and then set the memory timing to Cas 5-5-5-12 (TCL,TRCD,TRP,TRAS) and then exit the BIOS saving changes and test the system with http://www.memtest.org to make sure its stable and see if that will solve the problem.
