Domy
Ok ram guy you probably remember me saying that my memory was working ok after i installed the patch for 3ghz or more, but it froze and blue screened again. I got fed up so i removed all 4 sticks of memory, reset bios to all default and no overclocking, put the memtest cd in, put 1 stick from the memory kit corsair replaced for me recently and ran it, after 1% it found errors, ram guy i know its not your fault but lucky me i have 2 sets and 1 set works, can i catch a break with some good memory ever from corsair? i bought this set from some ebay store im using now and it works fine with no errors on memtest, but i cant get lucky with this memory stuff. I have a bad part/set... i will fill an rma form out now. i included a picture of the errors..... Im am exhausted of this, now i gotta pay more shipping. I never had this much trouble with corsair ram.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 21, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 21, 2007 Were you testing the modules one at a time or with all 4 in the system?

Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 21, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 21, 2007 Did both modules fail or was there just one failing module?
Domy
I tested one and concluded right then and there that obviously even if only one was bad the whole set gets replaced anyway right? so i only tested one for that reason. Also I have cancelled out that it could be a motherboard issue because the other same set i have other than being a different revision i use works and tested fine that im using right now. Basically what happens is if i put the set in thats failing by itself, it boots to the windows loading screen and right before the desktop loads it blue screens or freezes, thats what had happen first and led to me testing the memory then. What do you think?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 22, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 22, 2007 It is very unlikely that both modules would fail at the same time. I would suggest testing the modules individually in the same memory slot. If one of the modules fails and the other works, then we will need to replace both of them for you. However, if you get errors with both of them, that would usually suggest some other problem.
Domy
Heres the answer to your question with testing on each stick "Alone" in the same slot with legacy disabled: Memory stick #1:No Errors - Pic #1 - 1 Pass performed Memory stick #2:Errors Found - Pic #2 - 1 Pass performed So it looks like i need a replacement again, is it possible to test them for me before sending me another new set please :) I already have my rma # sent to me. Merry Christmas.....
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 22, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 22, 2007 All of our modules are tested at their advertised settings before they leave our hands, but some systems may be a bit pickier than others. Let's get them replaced, please use the On Line RMA Request Form and we will be happy to replace them. Happy holidays!
