yalerd
They guys I'm waiting to a package where it contains all my hardware parts. I've seen some the forum and I just was wondering what do you guys recommend. My specs will be Asus Striker Extreme Inte Core 2 Extreme QX9650 Corsair 2GB PC8500 1066Mhz (Twin2X2048-8500C5D) eVGA e-GeForce 8800 GTX 768MB Superclocked Ultra X3 1000-WATT Modular And I ordered 2 Corsair 2GB kit, so it'll be 4GB in total. I'm not OCing expert, in fact don't know much about it but I'm willing to start learning. I just want to know what will perform better having just 2GB of RAM or 4GB of RAM? I've seen that if you run 4GB of RAM you have to lower to DDR800 and if you have 2GB of RAM you could stay with DDR1066. I just want to know what do you guys recommend, what will give me better performance. I know that if you guys recommend staying with only 2GB of RAM I can sell them easily just because I couple of my friends are configurating some desktops and they haven't bought the RAM so I could sell them fast Thanks for the help guys. yalerd
OK 4 sticks of 1GB of RAM of Corsair PC8500 (4GB of RAM in total) or 2sticks of 1GB of RAM of Corsair PC8500 (2GB of RAM in total) what will perform faster?
Wired
2 sticks = less load on the memory controller personally, I'd go for the best of both worlds, 2x2GB pack. Twin2X4096-6400C5xxx. Real good and cheap ATM. Looking to get a pair myself if/when I build a system soon.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 20, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 20, 2007 It will really depend on how you use the system and what O.S. you will be using, but with any system 2 modules would run better than 4 modules. If you will use a 32 Bit O.S. I would suggest 2.0 Gig of memory for optimal performance.
yalerd
well I'll be using Windows Vista Ultimate 32bit. So you guys think I should use 2x1GB of the PC8500
